2019 Election

It's that time of year to elect new board members for 2019!

YPA has a 14 member Board of Directors, each of whom serves a two-year term. We currently have 7 positions up for election/reelection for 2019. Board members are the decision makers and ambassadors of the organization, working to follow through on projects, carry out the organization’s mission, and provide value to our members. Please keep in mind that YPA is a 100% volunteer non-profit organization, and that you are agreeing to commit to a two-year term of office if elected. We are a working Board of Directors, responsible not only for running the organization, but also for chairing/co-chairing committees and attending events, so there is a time commitment involved as a member of the Board.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be a currently paid member of YPA at the time of application submission.
  • Must attend monthly Board Of Director meetings – 5:30pm Second Monday of the month, typically held in Richland.
  • Must work with the other Board Of Director members in the best interest of the organization.
  • Must regularly attend all YPA events, including First Friday Helping Hours, Community Outreach events, and events sponsored by our committees.
  • Must be willing to co-chair one of our committees with a non-Board member (specific committee assignments occur during our January meeting).

Submit an Application and Resume

Answers to the questions below, as well as a current resume, are due via email to Sherri Rae by 5pm Monday, November 12, 2018. Applications will be reviewed by the current Board at the November 12th meeting and ballots will be sent to the entire YPA membership via email (including select answers from the applications) to be completed by November 30th.
